K2 Expedition (8,611 m) Karakoram, Pakistan

K2 (8,611 m)

K2, also called Chhogori in Balit name, is the second highest mountain in the world, located on the Pakistan-Chinese border in the Karakoram Range. If Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world, K2 is considered by many as the hardest of the fourteen 8000m peaks and in fact one of the hardest mountains on the planet. There are many reasons for that: its high altitude, the difficulty of the routes and the very challenging weather of the Karakoram Range.
